Over 15 years of experience and the backing of a strong independent national company within the IDS building corporation group.
Our experience of operating rail transport dates back to 2001, when it was run purely for construction purposes within Inženýrské a dopravní stavby Olomouc. From 2007 onwards, as the new company IDS CARGO, we gradually moved into the transport of other goods — mainly agricultural commodities, oils, diesel, chemical products, cement, fly ash, coal, cars and various exceptional consignments.
Over that time a handful of individuals grew into a company employing 150 people with an annual turnover of CZK 500 million. Within this industry the company is exceptional in its standing among national and multinational giants — it holds 6th position in the statistics of transported volumes, while the first five places belong to state-owned companies.

First rail operations for construction purposes within IDS Olomouc.
2007
IDS CARGO a.s. is founded as an independent company and enters the freight market.
2015
Fleet expansion and growth of siding operations at industrial customers.
2024
On-board ETCS fitted to class 365 locomotives for interoperable operation.
2025
Fleet reinforced with a new Vectron in the colours of a Czech operator.
